Brian Saunders

Brian, BSEE, holds an MBA from Dartmouth and has over eighteen years experience in professional services, business and marketing strategy, interactive/online business creation, account management, business development, strategic partnering, and product management. His background includes high-tech market creation, product marketing, new venture / acquisition analysis, alliance management and channel development, music/TV/radio production, and graphic/multimedia design. He possesses broad industry expertise in telecommunications, e-commerce and online business, digital video and music production, electronic entertainment, and aerospace/defense in business and marketing strategy, product development, product launch strategy, and strategic partnering. He also has expertise in telecommunications, information technology, and electronic entertainment.

In his former role as Vice President - Professional Services at Telephia, Inc., the leading provider of mission-critical data and business intelligence to wireless industry participants, Brian lead the team that provided client training, support, custom analysis and consulting services for Telephia's clients. Internally, Brian's group supported pre-sales, knowledgebase expansion, and product development efforts.

Prior to his Telephia post, Brian led the 30-member staff of the combined Client Services (account management) and Business Development groups in Organic Inc.'s San Francisco office. Organic is a leading international Internet professional services firm.

Brian Saunders is a former Senior Principal at The McKenna Group (Regis McKenna). At The McKenna Group Brian managed or participated in projects for clients in digital video and audio, electronic entertainment, IT products and services, satellite communications services, and Internet-related markets.

Representative Projects and Achievements
  • Led the Organic team to design the complex e-commerce site for a start-up women's active wear retailer.
  • Directed the business definition and business plan development team effort for an existing software company's entry into the online K-12 education and administration market.
  • Provided market and business strategy services for a film/video production and distribution start-up company.
  • As General Manager, Western Region of COMPUS Services Corporation Brian won a $3 million billing applications development project with IBM Professional Services for Pacific Bell and increased sales revenues by 90% within two years.
